Thanks Gennaro, for the nicely done puzzle and for introducing me to the playwright and the play. 6a, 13a, 15d favourites.

Goodness, Nina above my intellectual level but was a bit of a help eventually. Some knotty constructions that were fun to untangle. The surface of 9d made me laugh, as did 7a. 14a, 22a & 15d also standouts. Thanks as ever!

Not a playwright with whom I am familiar - though it is a name I have heard. Made for a trickier than usual nina. And, though I solved, I had not correctly parsed 7a. Everything else went in smoothly enough thanks. 19a, 25a, 1d, 9d and 20d my faves. Thanks. PM

Thanks Gennaro, nicely done as per. Managed enough of the nho Nina for the lovely sympathetically clued 9d plus a quick Google to fill in the gaps. Other faves include 10a, 13a, 1d, 15d, 20d and 21d. Thanks again!

Nice one Gennaro, thanks. NHO the Nina, which made this rather trickier than average. I also thought I might have detected a slight notching up of the difficulty in your cluing style in places. So, overall, I had to work quite hard to finish this and needed a little help in the NE. Favourites: 7a, 25a, 26a, 2d, 4d and 15d (COTD). Spoilers …

A trickier than usual Gennaro! Like others I was unaware of the playwright but I love to learn new stuff, so all good 👍 7a was surprisingly 'blue' for you 😆 but made me laugh. Also liked 13a, 23a, 4d and 18d. Thanks

I'm always impressed by your conveyor belt of ninas, Gennaro, and as a graduate of German, this one actually fell in my sweet spot and helped. Others than tickled.my fancy were 7a, 10a, 25a, 3d, and 15d. Good job!

First of all, thanks for the special message; I watched and very much enjoyed the 1964 film version last night. What a memorable role for Bergman to play. My favorite clue here, among many, is 4d because I had the indicator and def switched around until the aha moment came. Great clue and surface. Also 10a, 19a, 9d, 21d, thanks again.
