Cryptic crossword No 1,143

Hi Libra. I've not tried one of your offerings before, but I was struck immediately by your engaging, witty and pithy clueing style. There was a lot to enjoy with 10a my COTD. I am not sure what an editor would make of some and a couple I am struggling to parse, so I would love to see annotations to understand your thinking better. Do you have them available?
