Cryptic crossword No 1,150

Hi Dyno. I have not tried one of your puzzles before, but was pleased I did. There was plenty to like with my podium being: 20a lol, 24a nice, 18d excellent. But I have some quibbles/queries, mostly minor, which I'd like to share with you because i think with minor changes you could produce great puzzles. SPOILERS...

Hi Dyno, first one of yours I’ve done and I enjoyed it a lot. The few comments I might have had have already been covered by others. The one thing I would reiterate is the value in test solves! I’m relatively new to setting (<1 yr) and my puzzles came on leaps and bounds once I got the occasional test solve - you learn so much! Anyway, I loved 20a and I’m very hard to please with a Spoonerism!

Hi Dyno, just doing another from your back catalogue. I particularly enjoyed 1a, 11a, 20a & 12d, although I'll also say that I enjoyed your more recent puzzles more. That's a compliment, suggesting that your setting is on an upward trajectory... I won't offer any suggestions as others have already and it's approaching ancient history now. Keep them coming...
