I love this so much. Favourites: 1a/5a, 9a, 14a. 16d had me stumped for ages (why can I never see them?). I love 23a: I'm a sucker for using common phrases in clues, except they're actually split up. Don't quite understand 8d - is it missing wordplay? Anyway, fantastic stuff.
Really enjoyable, favourites I think being 11a, 3d, 5d, 6d. Hooray for annotated solutions - I hadn't appreciated just how clever 20a and 7d actually were. [SPOILERS IN REPLY]
