Cryptic crossword No 1,344

Rawspand, it’s very clever, but has four words that are new to me and a couple more that I understand but have never encountered. I could solve most of the puzzle, including new-to-me 26a, 8d and 20d based on solid clueing, but certainly would appreciate seeing Annotations. 2d is delightful.

I have come to this very late, Rawspand, but - at a loose end and looking back at those I haven't done - I spotted your puzzle. I now see why you chuckled at my version of 12a! Whilst Fez is right to raise quiblets, and I see his points, I have to say I found this a most refreshing breeze through. A few raised eyebrows - 26a does not work for me - but loads of smiles and nods as pennies dropped. Many likes inc 14a, 22a, 2d and 19d for example. Thanks. PM
