Wonderful

I thought I should return the compliment, Juff (and Longyfan) so, whilst the initial grid didn't appeal and the clue list looked weird with all those 2's, I gave it a go - and completed it. It is certainly a challenge solving a puzzle from a slightly different cultural background - I take my hat off to those US solvers who give British cryptics a go. Faves included 18a, 25a, 56a, 62a, 2d (COTD), 9d, 28d and 38d. Query in Reply. Thanks. PM

Thanks for the puzzle. I particularly liked the WP in 1d and 25a. Other faves were 1a and 2d, which is a cracking clue. Cheers
