Cryptic crossword No 1,369

lmao 23 across is so good. overall enjoyed this puzz a lot, 14a 12d 16d were the other favourites. stumped by 9a/8d, though after reading the annotated solution for 8d I liked it a lot.

Top stuff again Longyfan, perhaps a little trickier than your last but an enjoyable challenge! Particular faves were 1a (fun surface), 9a (clever), 13a (cute surface), 14a (neat), 19a (neat), 25a (fun), 4d (neat), 12d (fun), 16d (smooth) and 22d (great fun) - thanks :)

Thanks Longyfan, another cracking solve (apologies I don't think I got round to commenting on your previous one, also excellent). 9a, 14a & 23a very clever (might've preferred "that describes" in the latter, to avoid link word?), as is 3d's definition, other faves include 11a & 4d. 25a's H=house my only quibble of note (the abbreviation is Ho. - "hospital" would do it?) I'd agree with the observation that this was tougher than the last. Again, lots of fodder in plain sight which is nice. Some complex ordering of parts in there but I think I managed to organise most of it. 13a, 14a and 23a my podium. Thanks. PM
