Your first on here, I think, chracol. Welcome; and there are some impressive clues here, my favourites being 7a, 11a, 1d, 3d, 12d, 16d, 19d. Turning on annotated solutions helps anyone seeking to comment (and, hands up, I cannot parse 7d), and is a useful discipline for the setter. I think the enumeration goes a bit astray in 18a and 23a. Thanks chracol and welcome to MyC. You’ve certainly got some creative ideas in this (see reply to avoid spoilers) and, though I struggled to complete this unassisted, I enjoyed looking through your notes to see the ideas coming through. My favourites of the ones I completed were 17d 5a 10a 20d 14d and 18a. Spoilers in reply…

Hi chracol. Doesn't seem like that long ago, we were welcoming you as solver and now here we are congratulating you on your setting debut. There is certainly evidence of plenty of creativity and ingenuity. The constructions will become tighter in time. I'd also urge you to think hard about the surfaces - some are pretty much there, a few don't quite make the sense you intended. Spoilers in Reply. Thanks. PM

Hello chracol! Nice to see a new setter. Some very nice clues here. I liked 11a, 7d, 12d (when I finally got it!), 16d and especially 19d. Some specific spoilery comments to follow:

Thanks chracol, a fun solve. I particularly liked some creative synonyms/definitions such as 24a's "twin city", 1d's "Dijon Dick" (I say!), and 3d's "dated dad" (nicely precise). Spoilers ...
