Cryptic crossword No 1,412

Hi sophocles, and welcome to MyC! There are some great clues here, and there seems to be a good flair for cryptic surfaces as well, which bodes well for the future. Favourites included 11a, 13a, 17a, 3d, and 4d. If you have annotated solutions available, it would be great if you could enable them, as there are a couple of points I'd like to check. Thanks! Thanks sophocles. Enjoyed the puzzle. Everything seemed to go in smoothly in accordance with the parsing although I'm not sure about 18d. Clues I like include 7a and 11a, and the long entries were a lot of fun to solve.
