Cryptic crossword No 1,418

Good puzzle. Enjoyed the inventiveness and unique style. LOI was 15a. Took too long for the penny to drop considering. The long anagrams were helpful. No particular favourites but the puzzle was a treat to solve. Thanks.

Nicely done Chopin - the linked clues were very neat. Particularly liked 20a, 8d, and 18d (chuffed to have remembered the separatists!)

Thanks for the delightful puzzle chopin, I very much enjoyed this and thought the self-references most satisfying and creatively done. Tons of excellent clues too, particularly 1a (took ages for the PDM but it was stupendous, I love that kinda stuff), 4d (nice), 11a (neat), 20a (neat), 25a (neat), 27a (very neat), 28a (neat), 29a (very smooth), 30a (fun surface), 2d (absolutely lovely), 3d (nice pairing), 5d (very neat), 7d (fun), 8d (clean) and 21d (satisfyingly creative) - bravo!

Picked this up late on Rachel's recommendation and enjoyed it very much. You absolutely got me with 15a, fair play - quite how I didn't expect it, having already done all the clues referencing 14a, I really do not know! Alongside the, well, y'know, I was actually quite taken with the quality of your surfaces too, and if my top spot hadn't already gone to 15a it would probably go to 3d for that very reason (that and me realising there's an Animal Crossing clue to be made there...) - nicely done!
