Tough stuff, but very, very good fun, and alongside the inventiveness Amoeba mentioned, I was also tickled by some of your sneaky definitions. The biggest ticks of the lot went to 12a, 15a (you should hear me try to pronounce "twenty"!), 26a (even if I would kinda agree with Amoeba's eyebrow raise), 27a (hah!), 16d & 19d.
