Oh I do love a dictionary hunt. All the obscurities well-supported and a pleasure to learn. SE helf me up the longest, but not unfairly.

Thanks Liari & Umpire, super stuff - always enjoy working out what it *must* be then getting confirmation from Chambers, 1a & 6a classic cases in point. Though a fair few were actually familiar ... I must be doing too many crosswords! Thanks again!

2d is a tremendous word, and 15a is a tremendous clue - thanks for the wordy work out!

Lovely stuff. Clear wordplay led to the discovery of some interesting words- rather like a good Times Mephisto or Monthly Club Special. I liked 2D, 19A and 29A in particular.
