Unsurprisingly elegant and surprisingly gentle! Really enjoyed this. Thanks Chopin. I especially liked the shorties and there are some great ideas: a romp. Lovely surfaces in 2d and 8d. 17d made me smile. And any mention of Dexter (even that piss-poor finale) is always going to get my vote. Marvellous. Mild spoilers in reply.

Lots to like here chopin. I particularly enjoyed and admired 10a, 31a, 26d, 34d among many others. I missed the theme, only realising after solving, but that didn't detract from the enjoyment. Might have helped me with the SW quadrant, which I found more difficult than the rest. Lovely puzzle - more like that please!

I was wracking my brains over 20A and couldn't figure out what was going on. It wasn't until I read the comments that I saw what was going on, and then I felt very silly indeed. Nicely done!

Nice puzzle chopin. Particularly liked 34d 27d 1d and 15a. I think I found this harder than others and the theme passed me by until it was too late! Lovely concept. Cheers.

Thanks chopin - I found this pretty approachable, as well as enjoyable. Favourites included 11a, 13a, and 25a. 5d was very cheeky but on balance I liked it!
