Thanks Flush, that was a mostly enjoyable solve, with my highlights at 9a, 10a, 27a, 18d & 21d. A couple of nhos for me and a few I had to consult your explanations to confirm my parsing, but on the whole fair to solver. Some nice surfaces, some others seem a bit strained but that’s the ongoing quest I find. Very clever el nina. Now I’d better get on with my overdue next one setting…

Nicely done, Flush. Bearing in mind your namecheck in my last puzzle, I did wonder for a moment in the SE if 'PM is stuck' would be the order of the day but eventually everything fell into place. 22a is nho! I liked 10a, 15a, 20a, 1d, 8d, 16d and 25d in particular. Spoilers in Reply. Thanks. PM
