Cryptic crossword No 1,882

Greetings, Cuchulainn. What fun. Particular upticks for 5a, 9a, 10a, 11a, 21a, 22a, 25a, 26a, 27a, 28a, 4d, 7d, 8d, 13d, 15d, 16d, 17d, 20d, 23d. I can't remember upvoting so many clues in a single puzzle for ages. There are a couple I couldn't parse and enabling Annotated Solutions would assist the solver (and also, I find, is a useful discipline for the setter). Mild spoilers in reply.

Have now added explanations for each clue - apologies if there are conventions for this I've not abided by.

Welcome to MyC, Cuchulainn. This is a great debut offering, lots to like and enjoy. I particularly appreciated 5a, 12a, 18a, 22a, 3d, 7d, 13d, 16d, 17d & 20d. I liked the tongue in cheek (or just plain cheeky) feel of several clues here, e.g. 11a, 18a, 19d. A little more detailed discussion in reply, spoilers…
