Cryptic crossword No 1,943

Lots to like here Fudgeller - for me 12a, 14a, 25a, 1d, 5d, 15d, 18d, 20d among others. A great set of engaging clues and a good workout that I was determined to finish despite having other things to do… A few places where wp a bit stretchy I thought, but might just be me - all gettable in the end. One query in reply, spoiler alert…
