Cryptic crossword No 2,052

Delta, if this is your first, I bow in admiration. A few iffy surfaces and one or two instances where the grammar doesn't quite work, but almost every clue sound and quite a few of them really good. I particularly liked 7a, 12a (despite one point mentioned in reply), 15a/21d, 17a, 20a, 21a, 24a, 3d, 4d, 5d, 6d, 14d, 16d, 19d, 10d and 23d. Minor spoilery comments in reply.

It has just been pointed out to me that my clue for 7 across actually doesn't work 🙁 To correct it the clue could change to: "Ebony and Ivory" remix went to number one in Oman Apologies if this has confused anyone.

Hi Delta - another here from FB, and another who found this a very creditable debut (I recently returned to my first ever puzzle with horror; this is much better!). The fact it was solvable at all puts it a way ahead of many first efforts! I especially liked 9a, 6d, and 23d.
