Welcome, Ottsel. A delightful puzzle with some really good clues - I particularly liked 14a and 17a. Just three clues about which I have reservations; but a cracking start on this site, if I may say so. [SPOILERS IN REPLY]

Good one, Ottsel - I'll second what Gollum said. My favourites were 1a, 14a, 29a, 20d. A few minor quibblets, spoilers in reply...
