Cryptic crossword No 2,208

A special thanks to the CrypticSunday stream for the live solve! Was happy to take on feedback akin a live test solve for this particular crossword (useful to hear a wide range of thoughts), and have made some changes accordingly. The 'double-entendred' surface for 11a I can reassure was unintentional 😂

Thanks for the puzzle Iguess, not tried one of yours for a while but this was your best yet in my opinion. Some lovely examples of each device: 8a (excellent spot), 9a (fun), 11a (amusing surface), 25a (nice), 1d (tricky), 9d (clean), 13d (very neat) and 26d (likewise).

Thanks Iguess, really nice puzzle with some great ideas on display. I found it a bit tricky in the NE and needed some help to finish but all fair (I'm not the best solver 🙂). Particular favourites were 8a (good spot), 11a (nice def), 1d (that 's always gets me), 14d (neatly done) and 18d (like the misdirection).

I came to this after the changes, Iguess, all of which are good ones imo. The whole puzzle is nicely done with some good surfaces and neat ideas. Add me to those admiring the spot in 8a. I also liked 12a, 28a, 9d, 13d and 18d. Thanks. PM
