Thank you for a very enjoyable puzzle. Favourites were 1a, 11a, 16a, 18a. One thing that's particularly striking is that almost without exception your surfaces are really good, something a lot of professional compilers don't always achieve. I'm not sure about 17d, but one iffy surface in an entire puzzle is hardly anything to trouble about. Two or three spoilery comments in reply
