Cryptic crossword No 2,388

That was a fun solve! Love a long solution that clicks together like 4d (COTD for me). 6d & 8a are extremely neat, took a while to crack them, but very satisfying when they yielded their secrets. I didn't crack 12a (NHO) but I did appreciate the wordplay. And the very long anagrams - really impressive to write such meaningful surfaces. Finally, what an image in 2d!
