Thank you - trickier than usual I think - got stuck on the top left corner & 1A tricky! Favourite clue was 19A. Great fun!

Thanks DG - that was a fun solve and got a finished grid, though I needed your notes to parse a couple. Some great clues in here, favourites included 11a, 12a, 27a, and 19a, 22a, 4d all raised a smile :) A few spoilery comments in reply..

A challenge that I mostly enjoyed. Favourites include 12a, 25a,26a & 6d, 8d 18d (no. 1). Was fun hunting all the 27 12s!
