Cryptic crossword No 2,422

I liked 1a, 22a, 7d, 16d (nice surface) Oh and 27a for being a fish I'd heard of but isn't often seen in crosswords.

Lovely stuff Iguess - 20a was the star of the show for me, but I also particularly enjoyed 16d, 28a, and 9d. And now the penny has dropped post-solve, 26a!

I really enjoyed this. My favs were 20a, 23a, 1d and 14d.
