Cryptic crossword No 2,427

Welcome to MyCrossword Carter! And thanks for your puzzle, which I managed to solve without too much difficulty. There’s a reasonable variety of devices used across the clues and I particularly appreciated 6a, 24a, 5d, 18d. While wordplay in your clues is mostly accurate, in some of them it is convoluted (e.g. 14a, 3d). It’s quite an art making clues concise & grammatically correct with a smooth ‘surface’ reading.
