Cryptic crossword No 2,434

I think this is the first of yours that I have done, djw. (I think I may have seen your name on the BD site?) A nice gentle crossword with plenty of neat and succinct constructions. A couple of tiny quibbles but really it all fitted together very well with faves for me being 10a, 23a, 27a, 2d, 6d, 13d and 22d. Thanks. PM
