Cryptic crossword No 250

Some nice clues here, Popcorn, including 17a, 2d, 7d and 11d. I thought there were a few surplus words/unconvincing link words... (e.g. 'at' in 6a, 'after' in 21d and 'about' in 20a, 'to make it' in 1d). Is there a reason for the full stops at the end of some clues?

Very enjoyable puzzle. Some lovely ideas, especially 13d, 11d, 7d. Agree with @Chameleon that you can ditch the full stops, given that the majority of cryptic clues aren't readable as grammatically correct sentences. You also have quite a lot of hidden word clues; a bit more balance of different clue types would be good. Overall, though, I really liked this. Many thanks!
