Another good one, Temple, which I have got to rather more speedily than the last. I am very much enjoying your combo of succinctness and lovely surfaces. With 16d, I could see an answer but I had to look up the annotated solution in order to find out why. That probably speaks volumes about my crossword-solving skills (or lack thereof).
