Cryptic crossword No 261

I found this quite tricky, but none the less enjoyable for it. Some fabulous surfaces, and the overarching theme held it together beautifully. My favourite clues were 20a, 14a, 18a, 6d, 5d, 12a & 22a. Many thanks and happy Christmas!
