Cryptic crossword No 2,786

It's my first play on My Crossword so comments not yet calibrated, but...thanks evil flea. I found this quite tough - had to reveal a couple. Some nice neat clues - I liked 8a, 9a, 22a, 23a. Not sure of the spelling of your goblins in 18a, and I found some of the clues rather long, and some of the abbreviations (e.g. in 21a) rather obscure. 9a defeated me entirely, the definitions of the components seemed pretty non-specific.
