Cryptic crossword No 2,807

Tough as usual though I got through it bar 10a and 7d - though I only got 8d having revealed 10a. I see you have plastered Chambers citations all over your annotations: anyone would think you were expecting to be challenged by solvers ... Some challengingly imaginative indications as per but, let's face it, you're not out to give your solvers a gentle ride, are you? Some of the surfaces were good fun and faves inc 12a, 15a, 19a (tho I did not have the GK), 23a, 27a, 5d and 17d. Thanks. PM

With a couple of exceptions, that was a breeze, and most enjoyable. Like PostMark, I failed at 7d, but everything else fell into place despite my lack of GK (in 19a, 28a and 24d). I liked 10a (had to look carefully, to not see it as 'balls'), 12a, 19a, 28a, 3d, 5d, 8d, 25d...
