Cryptic crossword No 2,957

Here from YouTube - daily viewer. Had trouble with 7a and 3d - neither answer has appeared in any book I've read. 6a easily my favourite clue. I've recently been publishing my own crosswords on here after a year or so of amateur clue setting. I would love some feedback on any of them if you were to find the time. I'm also in the process of compiling a puzzle with Christmassy surfaces like these, so it was interesting to see how you solved the sorts problems I am having of creating a festive surface for a non-festive word. Faves include 6a (nice link to the recent puzzle contest), 9a, 2d, 8d, 12d, and I liked how you managed to include some cheery messages in the long connected clues. Great job, and Merry Christmas!
