Merry Christmas and thanks for the great variety grid Henri. Needed quite a few trips to google to get everything, but did manage it in the end. Lots of great clues throughout, with 10a, 12a, 19a, 23a, 2d, 3d, 13d, 17d being particular highlights. More detail (and spoilers) below

Got part of the way through this but never satisfactorily cracked the SI so had a few gaps in the acrosses. 9a, 12a, 22a, 2d, 6d and 13d my faves. Thanks. PM
