Nice puzzle! Loved the theme. Favs include 10a, 11a, 30a, 14d, 23d. Spoilery comment follows.

Just slightly beyond my knowledge of the theme, but the ones I didn't know were helpfully clued. 10a and 11a were my favourites. A question in the reply.
