Cryptic crossword No 3,183

Second time posting here, as always more than happy to receive any constructive feedback from solvers. I'm a bit less pleased with this overall than my first attempt and while there are some clues I'm proud of, I perhaps should have listened to old advice to drop clues that make bits of the grid harder to set. Keen to see what people think, so please let me know!

Hi dynamite, thanks for this puzzle, generally went in smoothly but a couple of tricky clues along the way. You have many nice, concise & meaningful surfaces like 9a, 26a, 3d, 5d, 6d & 23d which I enjoyed a lot.
