Very enjoyable puzzle with fun and inventive surfaces. Clear constructions yet a bit tricky in places particularly 22a. I like the theme too and the variations thereof. Particular favourites 10a, 11a, 20a, 27a, 3d, 7d and 14d, I'll look out for more of yours Salt, thank you

Thanks, Salt. This is dynamite. I finished the northeast and planned to return later but couldn't stop - a compliment to the clue quality combined with theme-enhanced accessibility. Reading the comments below, I have to agree. I wondered if anything extra was happening in the 3 or 4 places with adjacent OO's. Favorite clues included: 10a and 20a (neat defs), 26a, 29a, 14d, 18d, 19d, and a few more. Thanks again.

Thanks Salt for a richly themed, entertaining crossword. I stumbled with the nho 4d and I couldn't parse 12a but all else went in without much struggle. My top picks were 10a, 20a, 8d, 23d/21d (COTD), and 25d. Nice work.
