Some promising stuff in here. I liked 6a, 10a, 11a17d and particularly 16a, but I think there are several instances where you could make clues more concise and clearer by cutting out extraneous words...
Hi Cleansheaf, there were some good clues in this (I liked 11a, 16a and 23a especially), but I agree with Cricket that many of them had too many redundant words and therefore were clunky to read. I have a few observations in the reply if you're interested.
