Cryptic crossword No 3,467

What a beauty- so timely, so original, so Henri! Beaten by 11a and 23d but everything else resolved nicely, despite some misdirections and new vocabulary. Definitely one to remember for a long time. The ones I picked: 1a, 8a, 9a, 29a, 7d, 15d, 19d! 20d - but the whole is so much greater than the sum of its parts! Merçi!

Great crossword. 9a, 12a, 18a, 20d among a number of good clues. Theme over my head though.

Thanks Henri for a great set of clues with my top picks being 1a, 16a, 24a, 4d, 5d, and 23d. I found this puzzle quite approachable and I even got a bit of the theme but not its full scope. Nonetheless I liked this a lot.
