What a clue! Worthy of a great crossword. Thanks for some excellent entertainment and further instruction in our enigmatic art. All good with standout clues being 9a, 19a, 24a, 25a, 4d, 6d, 7d, 15d!!! Oh, and I reckon 16a deserves a rosette too after arbitration. Cheers!

A lot of fun, and 15d is certainly very clever. I also very much enjoyed 16a,21a,23a and 17d,18d,20d for left field defs and satisfying wordplay
