Thanks Magnolia. A cleverly constructed puzzle with several sparkling standouts - 6a, 9a (nice misdirection), 16a, 17a (great surface), 22d, 3d & 11d among others. Spoilt a bit for me by some very obscure definitions and in other places some uncertainty in my mind about parsing. It might just be me being thick, but switching on annotated solutions would help clarify with retrospective understanding.

Hi Magnolia. Saw that this had been covered in a live solve so did it first and then watched the replay. Some ingenious constructions, plenty of humour, some lol moments and a lot of clever stuff in there generally. Particular favourites: 6a, 9a, 17a, 26a (I think), 14d (I think), 22d. A couple of observations/queries in reply. SPOILERS IN REPLY.

This was a DNF for me, because although I guessed what 7d might be, I couldn't work out the wordplay (and still can't) - I echo Ozpiper's request for annotated solutions. 10a is very clever (though I failed to get it). Generally a very enjoyable puzzle with some first rate cluing - personal favourites were 9a, 15a, 16a, 8d, 14d. I agree with PostMark that some of the surfaces aren't as good as the wordplay

I really liked 6a, 12a, 15a, 8d, 11d and 3d. Thanks. Enjoyed your notes for the ones I didn’t get, which are also well-crafted and explained with humour! Cheers

Thanks for sharing this here. I found lots to admire. For some reason 20a really tickled me, so thanks especially for that! My other favourites are 26a, 3d, 21d. 7d is outrageous! I needed the notes for it and was set chuckling again at the chutzpah!
