Thanks Chilll, this was the first grid I've solved on this site and I very much enjoyed the experience (so far I've made more grids than I've solved, meaning I am to crosswords, what Katie Price is to books). I particulary enjoyed 3d, 9a and 26a. I think there may be an error in 5a which I'll detail in a reply for spoilers with a couple of small niggles but overall it was a lot of fun.

Sorry 5a is fine, my mistake!

Chill, your puzzle reminded me of Simplex in The Irish Times, a puzzle that I tackle every day as a sprint exercise. I mean no disrespect: puzzles of this type are an important counterpoint to multi-hour marathons and need to be set just as well. You mention the mighty Paul in a comment, so I think you know what I mean! In your puzzle, I admired the crisp 13a most of all, and shivered at 17a, having learned to swim (and suffer) in its icy waters……….more

This is a lovely puzzle. Really accessible in a great way and I had lots of fun solving this. I liked the clues relating to 21 especially. Other favourites were 13a 20a 24a 6d and 15d

Thanks Chill, this was very enjoyable. At the easier end of the spectrum I would say, but that was most welcome! Favourite clues were 9a, 18a, 21d and (especially) 15d.

Thanks for the puzzle, Chill, that was great fun and a very approachable challenge. On the easier side of MyC offerings, but in no way consider that a criticism - I prefer such puzzles. Tons of satisfying solves, with 1a (very neat), 11a, 18a, 24a, 3d and 21d being my favourites - well done!
