Hi McKay, and welcome. A remarkable debut – 10a is a dazzling 3-word clue that blends proper structure with multiple humorous allusions. 23a and 18d are very witty. There are also a good number of obscure (at least to me) words in the grid, which is perfectly acceptable, but might leave some solvers at a loss without Annotated Solutions.
