Excellent set of constructions, Meles. Really nice puzzle. Plenty of variety and some nice devices. Favourites include: 10a, 15a, 17a, 19a, 23a (COTD), 1d (podium), 5d, 6d (podium), 18d, 20d (if the podium has a fourth plinth, this would be on it. Spoilers in reply. Thanks. PM

Thanks for the delightful puzzle Meles, certainly some tricky things for me (I'm bad at spotting &lits for one, and you've created several wonderful examples) but a fun challenge for sure. I particularly liked 10a (neat and fun), 11a (clever), 12a (lovely example of the type, of which I'm very fond), 14a (nice construction), 15a (delightfully inventive), 22a (very neat), 23a (a really well executed linking clue and very clever construction), 27a (fun), 1d (excellent construction)...
