Cryptic crossword No 839

Thanks for the very lovely puzzle Moobius, that was great fun with lots of satisfying moments and delightful definitions. I particularly liked 7a (fun), 12a (smooth), 13a (neat), 22a (nice def), 23a (nice assembly), 24a (smooth), 25a (nice def and construction), 26a (smooth), 2d (nice def and fun spooner), 5d (smooth), 8d (neat), 9d (fun surface) and 17d (neat) - good stuff!

Very enjoyable, thanks moobius. Faves include 7a, 11a, 19a, 23a, 26a, 2d, 9d, 16d & 18d - some of those despite ... or maybe because of ... slightly bizarre surfaces! Thanks again!
