Cryptic crossword No 98

Great stuff 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Did this on the #CrypticSunday stream but annoyingly I had to delete the recording 😟 Particularly enjoyed 16a personally 😎

As Matt said, we had a good time doing this on stream ! Some proper nifty clues here, especially in the top half of the grid - personal favourites were 9a, 23a, 1d (all three for very tidy wordplay), 5d & 6d (both for elegance). We had a bit of trouble sussing and then subsequently parsing 24a, and tbh I'm still not sold on the indicator, but it's sufficiently gettable that I can't really complain. Thanks for the puzzle!

Printed this off and did most of it during a pleasant picnic lunch for my 70th. Didn’t actually finish it - half a dozen clues defeated me - but enjoyed it a lot. 5d and 15d in particular struck me as really fine.
