Some of these were too hard for me, but I got there in the end with a bit of help. Thanks for the thorough annotations which helped me see your full intentions (e.g., the / in 1a, a very interesting clue). 1d was my favorite from the downs. It's always nice to see some Cryptic Fiction, though it's pretty tricky to produce (my recent attempt was Mini No 151). Thanks again.
