Quick crossword No 265

Thank-you. Most entertaining. A crossword? Yes. Quick? No. Of course you may just have been using a smaller grid to build up to doing a 15x15, but my expectation is that a Quick Crossword should be on the easy side. Some great clues. I liked 15a, 17a, 1d, 2d, 3d. But rather too complicated for a QC and I was defeated by a few. and I am an experienced solver. Chief cause of difficulty was that you use several "indirect anagrams" (1a, 9a, 6d, 21a)...
