Cryptic crossword No 2,626

Hi PianoMan, thanks for that - some nice, concise clues and a wide range of difficulty. I thought 16a, 20a and 8d worked particularly well. A few comments in the reply (with spoilers).

A lot to enjoy there, 17a, 7d and 19d were my favourites (7d for the controversial match official!).
