Very neat "lynchpin" clues, but as ever, I fail to spot a non-edge Nina. Love the clues that tell little stories, like 12a,22a,24a,3d and the ones that click together satisfyingly. Other faves: 8a,9a,2d,6d. Thanks for a puzzle that helped pass the time while waiting in line at a government office today.

Brilliant nina + special instructions! And a fine case of TGIF to go with it (G for Gennaro). Nifty deletions and insertions and other tricks aplenty, my particular faves being 10a, 13a, 18a, 16d (really good!) & 23d. Thanks as ever. I was about to chide you for missing a letter in 7a when I saw the light! See below-

Thanks Gennaro, big time fun. I had the (rare for me) pleasure of printing & solving this on paper -- highly enjoyable throughout, including the search for a nicely hidden Nina. The long clues were fun to piece together, especially as a set, and quite a few others get 'list' treatment: 9a, 11a, 17a, 18a ha, 22a (heck of a combo), 7d, 14d, 23d clever. Congrats on such a nice puzzle, including the satisfying surfaces throughout. Thanks again.

Ah - a less obvious nina which I was pleased to spot. 10a, 12a, 18a, 2d, 6d and 23d my faves. Some very enjoyable surfaces amongst these. Thanks. PM

Hi Gennaro, thanks for this gem of a puzzle which pulled no punches! Tricky to pick favourites but in addition to those already picked out by others I really liked 15a and 19d. Cheers.
