Cryptic crossword No 3,393

Hi Heron, this is the first of yours puzzles I've encountered and it was definitely a sweet treat! Very nice finesse in both the surfaces and the wordplay - in particular your treatment of the cycling and movement devices stood out. Cheers

I almost missed this. Such a lot has appeared of late it's hard to believe this was only posted 3 days ago! Another classic gentle puzzle through which I moved very smoothly, pretty much in clue order. Some very nice surfaces in here - lots of fun little stories. Only 8d caused real head scratching - clever. Lots I could tick as likes - to keep it to a sensible number, I'll highlight 13a, 21a, 28a, 2d, 4d, 7d and 18d. Thanks. PM

Like PostMark, I am almost missed this one as well. I very much enjoyed solving your puzzles last summer, and it is good to see you back here again. I found this to be a bit trickier than I remember your previous ones, with a few less common words and lots of intricate wordplay. A really fun solve, and I enjoyed finding myself stuck and having to think hard in order to get going again. Lots of great constructions, but I particularly liked 4a, 13a, 23a, 28a, 3d, 7d, 14d, 19d.
