Thanks to the Cryptic Sunday team for battling though this. Sorry it turned out to be harder than I intended (an unfortunate - or at least unintentional - habit!). Thanks too for pointing out a few mistakes, which I’ll correct when I can. Cheers!

I've been out since cryptic sunday, Guava, so you have beaten me to the comments and you do not need to apologise or reflect on negatives at all. Some very fun clues in there and very little to criticise. Nothing wrong with generating the odd 'phew!' in my book! Some of the devices you used were really neatly done and there were plenty of pdms. I particularly liked 13a, 24a, 1d and 8d and the ellipsis clues were an amusing link too. Thanks. PM

Nice one Guava! Found it pretty tough - although from your comments it seems that I’m in good company. But lots of very cunning wordplay to enjoy and little to quibble about. Particularly enjoyed 24A, 25A, 4D, the 16D 17D combo and 19D. Spoilers...

Thanks for the entertainment Guava, full of fun surfaces and wordplay. Lovely to see this getting some attention on CS and it made for a great stream. I particularly liked 9a (smooth and intricate), 10a (cute), 11a (fun), 18a (interesting), 22a (very nice), 23a (neat), 24a (very nicely done), 1d (cute and clever), 3d (nice), 5d (fun), 8d (clean) and 16d/17d (nice linking surface). Lovely stuff :)

Hi Guava, glad I dropped in to return the favour, this was fun. You’ve used some wordplay I’ve not come across before which I found tricky but enjoyed. Of these, 1d was my top pick. 24a was very satisfying. For surface, I thought 16d and 17d were amusingly constructed. Thanks

Thanks Guava, very enjoyable. A bit late to the commenting party so just a few favourites: 5a, 13a, 25a, 1d, 4d & 19d. Thanks again!
